To provide our cloud storage management services, we access and collect limited data based on user interactions:
- Google Account Information: When you authenticate via Google OAuth, we access basic account details including your email address, name, and profile picture (via
openid, email, and profile scopes) to identify you within the application.
- Cloud Storage Data: With your explicit permission, we access files and folder directory metadata stored in your connected cloud accounts (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) strictly to display and manage them within the imDrive interface.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information accessed from Google APIs and other cloud providers strictly to:
- Authenticate your identity and display your user profile within the app.
- Enable core cloud file management features (viewing, organizing, and syncing files across your connected drives).
- Maintain and improve app performance and user experience.
3. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
- No External Storage of User Files: Your personal files and documents remain stored securely in your respective personal cloud accounts (e.g., Google Drive) and are accessed in real time via official APIs. We do not copy, store, or host your personal files on our intermediate servers without your explicit consent.
- Data Security: We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) to secure data in transit between your browser, our application, and cloud API providers.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Transfer
- No Selling of Data: We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer raw or aggregated Google user data or personal information to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
- Prohibited Uses: User data is never used for targeted advertising, credit lending, or training generalized AI/ML models.
5. Compliance with Google’s OAuth User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure)
imDrive’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
6. User Rights, Data Retention & Account Deletion
- Access & Revocation: You can revoke imDrive's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account Permissions Page.
